New tricks

Jonathan continues to learn new things. It seems like he is taking off developmentally right now. We got him on video dancing and playing peek-a-boo yesterday. He is also signing "more" and "all done" and waving occasionally at people.

And one more...

A few more favorites...

Family Pics

We had to get a picture of our family for some church-related things, so we decided to try to take some ourselves with our camera and a tripod. Lange set the timer, and this is how it turned out. I was pretty impressed considering...

Since the first picture turned out pretty good, we decided to go ahead and save some money and take a few more ourselves. These are some of my favorites!

Three of my favorite people

My sweet helper

My handsome comedian

Fifteen years...Oh, my favorite person

Mommy and baby deer!

We have had a doe and her twin babies in our yard since the baby deer were born about a month and a half ago. They were laying in our yard this afternoon, and Lange got some neat pictures. Enjoy!

The journey

We had to drive back to NC and fly home to KY, so we made the most of our trip. We stopped in Florence, SC and had lunch with Lange's brother and family.

Then, we stopped at Mamaw's house in Goldsboro for a short visit.
Then, we finished off the day with a delicious dinner of NC BBQ and fried chicken with my Uncle Phil and his family as well as my mom and dad. What a day!!!I couldn't resist posting this last picture. Jailyn and my cousin Jacob got the camera while we were eating and took some "self-portraits."

Saying Goodbye

On Friday morning, we left Georgia and began our journey home. It will probably be a long time before we get to see Grandaddy again.

Dinner...

One of our favorite pasttimes in Georgia is fishing - and eating what we catch for dinner. This visit was no exception. This bad boy was in our bellies by sundown.

LAURA!!

Jailyn, Jonathan, and I got to meet my good friend Laura in Darien, GA for dinner and a short visit. As always, we laughed and had a great time together.

Georgia fun

From there, we headed on down to Glennville, GA where we stayed for several days. We visited Lange's grandaddy who is 88 years old. He is such a wise man and a joy to be around. Grandaddy especially enjoys observing our children - Jonathan particularly. We also had the privilege of spending some time with the Twibell family and the Winge's at the "Flatwoods." We have some wonderful memories of our time there.

ANOTHER Party

On Saturday, we headed to Columbia, SC to "retrieve" all three of our kids and see my brother and his wife. We also found time to eat at a neat little country store and celebrate Jonathan's birthday -- again... My brother sang a song he wrote for us before we left - and played his new guitar.

Spartanburg, SC

Our next stop was Spartanburg, SC where we attended Choral Festival. We got to see many friends from years gone by and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Vacation

We got to spend some time away attending a music conference and visiting family. It was wonderful, but my bed never felt so good when we got home...

Justin and Jailyn were already in NC at Cousins Camp, so Lange, Jonathan, and I flew into Raleigh and had lunch with my grandma and mom and dad. This was a neat soda shop in Graham, NC where my mom and dad are living now. After dinner, Lange and I left Jonathan with mom and dad and headed to Greenville, SC for the evening.
These are pictures we took of a beautiful park right in the middle of downtown Greenville. Lange attended school in Greenville several years ago, but we were amazed at all the improvements that had been made to the city since then. We ate lunch with a professor and his wife from the university Lange attended. These are friends of Lange's family from several years ago, and they both have degrees in special education. They were a wonderful encouragement to us and gave much advice regarding our little Jonathan.
