A detour...

Lange and I decided to take a little detour on our way home from Asheville Friday. After all, we were only 28 miles from Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge. Can I just say that it was worth the drive? YUM!!

One of many...

Has it really already been a year? Jonathan is one year old today. Wow. What a year. Needless to say, we are celebrating in a BIG way. Jonathan had his first of three parties this past Friday with Grandmama and Papaw while we were in Asheville, NC.

Fun family time in Asheville, NC

We met Grandmama and Papaw in Asheville, NC last week for a night, and Justin and Jailyn headed back to their house for the annual COUSINS CAMP. They are having a blast. Here are some pictures of fun times with Grandmama and Papaw.

Hooray for Papa!

Papa came for a quick visit on his way through to see his parents in Missouri. Jailyn could hardly wait for him to get here.

Splish splash!

Jonathan learned how to make a mess during bathtime last week as well. I looked like I had been in the tub with him when we got done. Enjoy!

Our little monster

We have many titles for Jonathan. The latest one could either be "destructive one" or "monster." He has been tearing up his bedding every evening and morning. I don't know what to do with the little stinker - particularly when he greets me with his trademark smile. This is what I saw when I walked into his room last week.

Habla Espanol?

Justin and Jailyn got to participate in our Hispanic campus Bible School with a great couple from our church. They went into the downtown area of Louisville every evening and invited children from a Hispanic community there. It was loads of fun and a great ministry opportunity for them.

I feel SOO old!

Justin has grown about a foot in the last several months. I think he is going to pass me in height by next year. This will give you some perspective on how tall he is. I am 5 feet 8 inches.

"It's gonna take an ocean..."

...of calamine lotion!! We spent the fourth of July at a farm with our Young Professionals class. Justin, Jailyn, and Lange could hardly wait to catch some fish at a pond on the property. They caught several fish in a matter of twenty minutes. We found out the next day, though, that they had all caught more than fish. Every one of them were eaten up with chiggers. This is a picture of Jailyn in her "oatmeal bath." Fortunately, they are feeling much better now.
